Recreational Activities on International Day of the Girl Child

Bartın University Faculty of Sports Sciences organized a meaningful event together with Mika-Der officials on October 11, International Day of the Girl Child and gave girls an unforgettable day. Students of the Department of Coaching Education and Recreation celebrated this special day with the girls staying in Mika-Der Sevgi Evleri Evleri. The event was organized by Assoc. Prof. Ayça Genç, Assoc. Prof. Fatih Yaşartürk and Lecturer Dr. Ömer Akyüz guided the event.
Recreational activities (face painting, educational games and parkour activities) were included in the event, which aimed to contribute to the development of girls and to have fun. The students experienced the importance of this meaningful day together with the girls and shared their happiness.
Bartın Governor Dr. Nurtaç Arslan, Deputy Governor Zeynep Topçu and Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Yavuz Korkmaz also attended the event and supported the girls.
During the event, the meaning and importance of the International Day of the Girl Child was emphasized and the need for girls to have rights, access to equal opportunities and a strong future was emphasized, and it was reminded once again that such activities play an important role in their social and psychological development.
