Recreation department students Hasan Engin and Burak Ünal won bronze medals at the 6th International Turkish Open Kick Boxing European Cup (Turkish Open).

Recreation department students continue to make us proud by adding new ones to their achievements. In this context, national athletes who participated in the 6th International Turkish Open Kick Boxing European Cup (Turkish Open) held in Antalya brought two medals to our country. Hasan Engin won the bronze medal at 86 kg and Burak Ünal won the bronze medal at 81 kg in the organization, which was held in the youth and senior categories and attended by approximately 1,200 athletes from 26 countries.

Congratulating the national athletes for their success, Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun said, “All components of the Bartın University family are taking firm steps towards the future with a sustainable development goal. As a result of this vision, successes in the field of sports are achieved through perseverance, desire and hard work. As a result of the importance we attach to our sports infrastructure and education, our national athletes are adding new ones every day to their achievements in national and international competitions. With these thoughts, I congratulate our students Hasan Engin and Burak Ünal for their success in the Kick Boxing European Cup. I believe that these successes will increase exponentially and our country will continue to be proud of the good news from these athletes."
