The project prepared one of the faculty members of our department, Dr. Assistant Professor by İsmail AYDIN was entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002-A Fast Support Program. “Dr. Assist. Prof. İsmail Aydın's project titled 'The Relationship between Perceived Parental Influence, Motivation and Re-participation Intention in Adolescents Who Do Regular Physical Activity' was found worthy of support by TÜBİTAK 1002-Rapid Support Program. In the research, Recreation Department Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih YAŞARTÜRK is also working as a researcher.”
Our teacher giving information about the project,
“Regular physical activity for adolescents is of great importance for their health, development and overall lifestyle. Therefore, our planned project aims to help adolescents adopt healthy lifestyles and stay active by investigating how parental influence in the physical activity programs they participate in affects their motivation. Given that parents have a great influence in the lives of adolescents, this research will contribute to better understand the role of parents and develop effective intervention strategies to encourage adolescents' participation in physical activity by assessing their influence on physical activity motivation. At the same time, adolescence is a period when physical activity becomes a habit and continues throughout life. Therefore, our project will provide important clues for adolescents to maintain active lifestyles by revealing to what extent physical activity motivation during adolescence determines future activity participation intentions. I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, who has made great efforts in the formation of the project culture at our university, and our Dean Prof. Dr. Bilal Demirhan, who has supported us in every way during the study process.”
We congratulate our recreation department professors and wish them a successful project process.
