Bartın University (BARÜ) Men's Rugby Team became the champion in the Rugby Unilig Turkey Final Competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF).
Bartın University (BARÜ) Men's Rugby Team became the champion in the 2022 championship, beating all its rivals this year. BARÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences The Rugby Team, which was founded in 2016 under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Ender Eyuboğlu, reached the championship under the management of Yusuf Sarıçan, a graduate of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching Education and also a graduate student of BARÜ Graduate School of Education.
BARÜ Rugby Men's Team, which finished the group stage undefeated in the competitions hosted by Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, reached the final by eliminating Hitit University in the quarter-finals and Ondokuz Mayıs University in the semi-finals. Facing Koç University in the final, BARÜ managed to become the champion with a net score of 31-0.
In addition, in the final competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF), BARÜ Faculty of Sports Sciences student Kerim Cömert was chosen as the most valuable player of the tournament by the organizing committee.
